Bio Alec Sobel’s standup is high energy mixed with sarcasm. As first place winner in if.net’s Standup Comedy Contest, Alec performed at the historic Los Angeles Theater. He's also won first place in Steve Brown's 'Get Down With The Browns' Contest and performed with the Browns in Mississippi. Alec appeared on JcTV and multiple radio stations, including WKRB 90.3FM, Comedy Pipe Radio, Star 104 Radio, and Demented Radio. Plus 104.9FM's 'The Edge' featured Alec on their comedy show on Dutch Apple Cruises.

Alec has been booked at comedy clubs throughout the northeast including the 40/40 Club in Atlantic City New Jersey, the Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan, the Funny Farm near Albany NY, and Banana’s Comedy Clubs in Hasbrouck Heights NJ and Poughkeepsie NY. Alec performed with Gotham Comedy Club’s Improv Comedy Troupe in New York City. As well as many colleges such as Pace University, CUNY Baruch College, Russell Sage College, and Hofstra University. Alec finds humor everywhere. As a social commentator, he has razor sharp insights into America’s lazy apathetic youth, fashion, dating, hiphop, and good old rock and roll.
